Shayla leads her students with love and grounded energy. She teaches Slow Burn Yoga, Restorative Yoga w/ Hot Stones and Chakra Awakening Flowclasses. Her teachings involve intention setting, visualization and meditation, and combining these techniques with asana.

Roberta Tewes - certified Iyengar instructor - teaches all Iyengar Yoga classes. With Iyengar, the exactness and alignment based principles give the student a clear and supportive way to practice asana. Roberta brings a fun yet straight forward approach to teaching and is also an amazing artist. Her classes are on Sundays at 10am and Wednesdays at 6pm.

We are the space that was once called The Zen House, first manifested by Kelley Litle in 2012. In 2014, Sutras Yoga was created by Maleese Warner and Emily McConnell to continue the original intention for the studio: hold a sacred space for our community, a "come as you are" space to find serenity, and a practice to help guide that process. As Maleese moved out of the area, the studio transformed once again and is now managed and maintained by Emily, along with our group of amazing teachers, supportive community & wonderful students.

We are dedicated to making various forms and levels of yoga available to everyone. We offer several modalities of yoga: Iyengar, Hatha, Restorative, & Vinyasa Flow. One of our newest additions to bless our space is Power Vinyasa Flow, combining cardiovascular training and endurance elements in the spirit of Vinyasa.

When the weather is right, we expand the studio to an outdoor location on the bluff overlooking Anchor Bay. We also love yoga field-trips to take in the beauty of the coast and experience new places to practice! We are always looking for new ways to find mindfulness in movement.

Emily McConnellRYT200 certified through Western Yoga College, teaches all Hatha Flow  classes intended to energize and sensitize with specific flows and sequences to align and respond with the current seasonal energy. Her focus is on reducing stress, anxiety, depression, & headaches and building strength and confidence and flexibility through a loving, radiant spirit. All classes include the opportunity for essential oils in Savasana!

All-levels classes on Tues/Fri at 5:30pm

Gentle Classes are Wed/Sat at 10am.

We are a space dedicated to the practice of yoga as well as other healing and movement modalities. Our mission is to hold space on this beautiful piece of coast in Mendocino County, where everyone is welcomed and invited to find their practice.
