Shayla WorkmanRYT200 certified through Western Yoga College. Shayla leads her students with love and grounded energy. Sheis currently teaching Momma Yoga, a 3 part class series from mid-June to mid-July on Saturday afternoons. Her teachings involve intention setting, visualization, pranayama and meditation, combining these techniques with asana practice. She will be taking time off while she transitions into motherhood, but will offer Hot Stone Restorative Yoga, and Pre & Postnatal Yoga for special occasions.

Roberta Tewes - certified Iyengar instructor - teaches all Iyengar Yoga classes. With Iyengar, alignment based principles give the student a clear and supportive way to practice asana by using props-the wall, blocks, bolsters, straps and more! Roberta focuses on these alignment based principles of asana by teaching body awareness to her students. Her fun spirit, love and enjoyment of the practice shine through each pose.

Sundays 10am-noon and Wednesdays 6-8pm

Our mission is to hold space on this beautiful piece of coast for our community to practice yoga in various styles, share knowledge, to heal, meditate or simply just be. Everyone is welcomed and invited to find their practice!

Emily McConnell  RYT200 certified through Western Yoga College, teaches all Hatha Flow  classes intended to energize and sensitize with specific flows and sequences to align and respond with the current seasonal energy. Her focus is on reducing stress, anxiety, depression & headaches and building strength, confidence & flexibility through a loving, radiant spirit. All classes include the opportunity for essential oils in Savasana!

All-levels classes  Tues/Fri at 5:30-7pm

We are the space that was once called The Zen House, first manifested by Kelly Litle in 2012. In 2014, Sutras Yoga was created by Maleese Warner and Emily McConnell to continue the original intention for the studio: hold a sacred space for our community, a "come as you are" space to find serenity, and a practice to help guide that process. As Maleese moved out of the area, the studio transformed once again and is now managed and maintained by Emily, along with our group of amazing teachers, supportive community & wonderful students.

We are dedicated to making various forms and levels of yoga available to everyone. We offer several modalities of yoga: Iyengar, Hatha, Restorative & Vinyasa. When the weather is right, we expand the studio to an outdoor location on the bluff overlooking beautiful Anchor Bay. We also love yoga field-trips, to take in the beauty of the coast as well as experience new places to practice. We are always looking for new ways to find mindfulness in movement, and we'd love for you to join us!

Alix Cooley  RYT200 Prana Vinyasa Flow  teacher, certified by Shiva Rea. She began teaching, leading retreats and assisting Shiva Rea around the globe the past 7 years. Alix's class is an energetic, creative and uplifting embodiment of movement meditation. She creates a fun environment with inspired playlists, quotes, and essential oils to relax the senses. Each class is suitable for all levels of practitioner, from beginner to advanced.
